Work with other reform groups in the ELCA, providing leadership to coordinate an evangelical/confessional response (within the ELCA) and work with other (non-ELCA) Confessing Movements in providing a common witness for orthodox teachings.
The aim of ELCF chapters is to provide mutual support and a common witness to ELCF beliefs within a local synod. Membership in our Chapters typically includes both pastors and lay-people, who may or may not represent an ELCF member church.
The third—and perhaps the most important part of our organization—is the local church, itself. It is in a local church that people come to Christian faith and learn the fullness of what that means. A lasting witness to the Church's Confessions of Faith must involve a stand within our local churches and by individuals within these churches.
